One of the very cool things about where I live in California is all of the farm land and yes, the need for bees!
So one of my co-workers has hundreds of hives which he will rent out per month to a farmer. He is my new guru sensai master and will teach me all about the art of beekeeping for pollination. So excited!!
Here's how it works. A person will own some hives and be responsible for keeping those bees healthy and happy. The trouble here is colony collapse, pesticides, and mites will take out your hive. Poor bees! You then truck the hives to the orchard or farm, and place them around the area.
