To bite off more than you can chew

I'm contemplating if I've bitten off more than I can chew. A run down of my life just now.

I'm in school in 3.1 classes, 10 credits, in two schools, to be completed over the next 10 weeks. Industrial Hygiene II which is the full summer and includes easy topics like radiation. The practical portion of my sampling class from last semester. Is the hands on portion of using sampling equipment, one week on campus in Montana, and is 1 credit. Calculus 1 which is 4 credits. And my capstone class of comprehensive written and oral exams. When I say comprehensive, I mean every core class in the Masters cariculum is being tested on.

This is it. The last push. Then I'm all done with my Master's program in just 2.5 yrs while working full time. Well, that is if I get the Physics II deficiency waived.

And let's talk about working full time. A commute that can be 40 mins to 2 hrs because it's the DC sprawl traffic. The job requires attention, focus, and energy. So after a 10 hr day of working and commutting I need to quickly eat and keep working on homework.

And then there's life. I'm co-habitating with my ex husband. 'Nuff said. The other parts of life is renting out the guest bedroom through Airbnb, my RV through RVSahre.com. Time and energy. I'm responsible for keeping the house clean. Time and energy. And oh ya, human company with friends. Well, let's be honest, that last one is out the window.

My only relaxation is quilting and not eating food I made. Quilting is a necessary rest but oh the siren song of 'just one more block...'

Wait, wait, there's more!

I was accepted to serve in the Peace Corps. Exciting, wonderful, nervous, and difficult. Getting into the Peace Corps is harder than it was to get into the Marine Corps. There's no recruiter to do all the paper work and hold your hand at MEPs. No issuance of gear on the first day of boot camp. Oh no, you get to do all of your own running around. Passport, extensive medical, finger printing, shopping list, and so on.

So, will I make it it or will I break? Stay tuned.
